City Forward Collective Executive Director Colleston Morgan Jr. joined 620 WTMJ’s Point Taken host Kristin Brey and writer, organizer, and MPS parent Garrett Bucks for a special Overtime episode of Point Taken. Starting from a Nikole Hannah-Jones essay about choosing a school for her daughter, they discussed how Milwaukee parents weigh what’s best for their own children against their commitment to their community. They also talked about school choice, Milwaukee’s history of segregation, and why there’s no single right answer for every family. Morgan explained that CFC works to make sure every Milwaukee family has real school options and that whichever school they choose is a good one.
